This beautiful, traditional stone built house sits in a large garden on the foothills of the Mt Ventoux.
This four bed-roomed house is situated on the outskirts of a small hamlet, one of the nine that make up the commune of Beaumont du Ventoux, on the edge of the forest, at the foot of the mountain, with wonderful views of the surrounding mountain-sides.
Beaumont is an agricultural community, and generally very peaceful and tranquil, except for the noise from the odd passing tractor.
The area is renowned for walking, the GR is practically on the doorstep.
This is a famous cycling area, and the nearest village, Malaucène, 6kms down the road, has excellent bike hire shops.
The area is also famous for its historical sites and Roman remains, (there is even a Roman quarry in the valley). It is an area known for it's natural beauty, and of course for the dominating spectacle of the great Mt. Ventoux, the “Giant of Provence"

The nearest town is Malaucène, 6 kms down the road, which has its Provençal market every Wednesday morning, and there is a market in a nearby town every morning of the week, where you can find Nyons olives, goat cheese, fruit and vegetables, as well as typical Provençal produce such as lavender essence, fabrics, soaps and perfumes.
Vaison La Romaine, 12kms away, is famous for its Roman remains including a Roman Bridge and Amphitheater, and the stone for these came from the Beaumont quarry! Avignon is a 40min drive away, with its famous Pont d'Avignon and Popes Palace, and its celebrated summer Theater Festival.
From nearly 2000m, at the top of the Mt. Ventoux, (half an hours drive up), you can look one way and see the Rhone valley with its vineyards, and cherry, apricot, peach and plum orchards, and from another view point, the mountains of the Drôme, with their olive trees and lavender fields.
